Corporate Connections is our one-on-one MatchMaker corporate-driven program for Certified Minority Business Enterprises to have a pre-scheduled meetings with NY & NJ MSDC Regional & National Corporate or Government Members to discuss potential business opportunities.
Appointments for Corporate Connection meetings will be offered based on the corporation's interest. Please note, there are a limited number of appointments available and it is possible that not every eligible MBE will receive a meeting.
Each meeting is a 15 minute session, and takes place on Wednesday, June 13 between 8:45 AM and 12:00 PM. The Corporate Connections meetings will take place in TBD of Time Warner Center. Please be sure to print your schedule once table numbers have been assigned after scheduling has ended.
Registering for the full conference by April 30th will ensure NMSDC-certified suppliers are eligible for the Corporate Connections Selection process. However, it does not guarantee that a meeting will be extended.
APRIL 30TH: MBE ACTION ITEM
ONLY the NMSDC-certified MBE registrant will receive an email confirmation with directions to create or update the company’s profile and to block schedule times so that no meeting can be scheduled at a time that the MBE is not available. If the owner is not attending, please make sure he/she is aware of the email and knows which staff person to forward it to. If no email is received by the owner, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for directions.
All MBE profiles must be completed by May 1st. Those MBEs that do not submit a profile, will automatically be excluded from the selection process.
Arrive 20 minutes prior to your meeting to check in and be seated in the holding room.
Be on time! MBEs who arrive late, will not be allowed to enter the Corporate Connections MatchMaker room.
MAY 14TH: CORPORATE DEADLINE FOR SCHEDULING
The participating Corporate Members will begin reviewing the eligible profiles to identify the MBEs that they are looking to meet. They will then determine which MBE(s) will receive an invitation to meet one-on-one for 15 minutes. All scheduling must be completed by June 1st.
JUNE 11TH: MBE ACTION ITEM
Print your final schedule on June 11. Schedules printed prior to this date will not have the table numbers assigned.
Each MBE has access to their schedule when logged into the My Business Matches MatchMaker tool. It is strongly recommended that you monitor your company’s online schedule daily between June 1st and June 11th to see if a meeting has been extended. While auto emails are generated, delivery is not guaranteed. Most Corporate Members will have the ability to schedule between May 14th and June 1st, which is why daily monitoring is important. In addition, meetings may be canceled and rescheduled by the Corporate Members, so it is important to check the schedule just prior to the start of Corporate Connections (MatchMakers) to ensure no changes have taken place.
Meetings are automatically accepted on the behalf of the MBE Company. No action is required by the MBE unless they wish to cancel the meeting.
Important! Because each MBE is able to personalize their schedule and block meeting times that they know they are not available to attend, no meeting will be rescheduled due tardiness or inability to attend at the scheduled time.
